I don’t know about you guys, but I was more jazzed about watching Monday Night Football than watching my StatTracker this week. The NFC North is going to be an interesting cauldron of teams the rest of the way.
As for the week in Fantasy, we saw more of the same from a lot of teams. The LoC is still looking like a fairly level playing field and the PL is sporting some emerging favorites. Also in this issue, the Commish eats his words! Read one!
The League of Champions continued to play close games, but the teams as the top stayed there. Here are the scores:
The Phantom Limbs (Peter) – 75
Fumblecopter (Andrew) – 51
Pacifist Assassins (John) – 120
Rusty Shackelford (Aaron) – 102
Grandma Nancy (Tyler) – 98
The Bone Doctors (Chris W.) – 87
Mightiest Muffins (Mike) – 100
Taking Chances (Wayne) – 80
Rowdy Rhino Rockers (Eric) – 78
Russ’ Rowdy Rhinos (Russ) – 95
The Alchemists (Chris T.) – 60
The Tortilla Chips (Darren) – 78
Rusty Shackelford picked the wrong week to play the Pacifist Assassins. John got the monkey off his back in a big way in shooting down Aaron’s high scoring squad. The Muffins touched the century mark as well in their defeat of Taking Chances and Eric’s team name shifting gave him no help as Russ tripped him up.
The rich get richer! Here are the current LoC Standings:
The Premier League got pretty interesting in week 4 as the only two undefeated teams stayed that way. Here are the scores:
Monday Night (Phil) – 110
Killer Canaries (Bob) – 54
Marshmallow Mateys (Cory) – 80
Stalins of Style (Chris A.) – 60
diddy (Jim) – 113
Egon’s Ego (Bernt) – 98
Dead Heads (Nate) – 90
Mighty Nimrods (Tom) – 54
Beer Boys (Hyatt) – 78
KRUG Kommanders (Denny) – 82
Kibbles & Vick (Frank) – 98
Wyld Stallyns CS (Dave) – 77
So both diddy and Kibbles stayed undefeated with big wins this week (Kibbles had to be happy with 39 points from his defense!). Elsewhere, it was a gutty win by KRUG over the Beer Boys that came down to MNF. KRUG pulls is out thanks to a subpar night from Adrian Peterson.
Current Premier Standings:
Team of the Week
I could go with the Pacifist Assassins for notching their first win, but I’m giving it to diddy. Last week I called Jim’s fantasy football success “improbable”. I was chided, but that could have just been posturing on his part. After this week, I’m eating my words. Jim came out firing, scored 113, remained undefeated, has the highest cumulative score in either league and has done it all with 1 roster move and spending zero waiver dollars. The word “improbable” is no longer to be associated with diddy. Is it too early to start using the word “dynasty”?
Four more teams have byes this week. They are: Chicago, Green Bay, New Orleans and San Diego. With lots of stars taking the week off, make sure you have coverage!
Until Next Week!
