Crazy, crazy week in the NFL this week. It started on Thursday night, where the Raiders destroyed the Chargers with 63 points! It was so bad the coach and GM were fired the next day (though some argued it should have been at halftime). Recall that the Raiders scored ZERO points the previous week against the Vikings!
So the Vikings are top-tier in the league, right? Well, the Saturday game against the Bengals was a typical Vikings rollercoaster. Mullins made Addison a star again.
But turnovers, poor play calls and a tired defense bit them. Oh, and Tee Higgins.

The Lions played Saturday too and got back on track easily against Denver. St Brown with the flip!
The Bills crushed the Cowboys on Sunday and James Cook did a flip of his own, part of a HUGE game for him.
Another week, another Kadarius Toney lowlight!
And Bears let the Browns claw back into the game and take the lead late! They needed a Hail Mary to steal this one! Well….
And we’ll finish with a hilarious flop by Travis Kelce, who has been very pedestrian over the last few weeks!
Injuries and dud games from big names turned the first week of the playoffs into a total circus! Where do we stand now!?
📰 HEADLINE: Come(back) Again!?
To top LOC seeds sure didn’t look like themselves out of the gate! Both Tyler and Dan were upset, but Tyler was VERY upset! Caleb’s comeback from the 6 seed is off to a good start. It must be fun to have CMC on your team, huh? McCaffrey and James Cook totaled 70 points on Sunday! Both top seeds on byes have to be concerned at this point, right!? Nick had the lowest point total of ANYONE this week!
In the Toilet Bowl, Ron took care of Allen’s team with no problems and Chris A upended Liam to stay alive in the swirl. Both seem to have a shot to keep their run alive! Remember, the winner of each Toilet Bowl bracket gets an LOC invite!

📰 HEADLINE: #SquadGoals
In the PL playoffs, an unlikely hero emerges. Baker Mayfield! Yes, Nick and Jonah’s QB’s faced each other in reality AND in fantasy this week! And Mayfield was the big winner in both! Nick used Mayfield’s perfect passer rating with 4 TD’s to run up the score and vanquish Jonah’s LOC dreams. And here too, a 6 seed prevailed with Tom took down Jay! Jay got only 7 points from Dak AND got a donut from Tyreek! The playoffs are cruel!
In the Toilet Bowl for the PL, things got REAL interesting when the bottom two teams came alive! Chris T’s Oppenheimer beat Hyatt’s Yeti in a minor upset. And Nate E’s forgettable season came OH SO CLOSE to having a positive ending! If Swift had gotten just a few more yards on MNF he would have stolen a win and kept his LOC hopes afloat. Instead, Mike ekes out a razor thin win!

📰 HEADLINE: In the sweet bye and bye
Once again, the teams who earned first round byes were counting their blessings! The lower seeds who played had great games this week and could have taken them down! The Limbs beat Luke A’s squad behind James Cook’s huge game. For Luke, Bijan had -0.6 points! And again, Dak’s ill-timed dud of a game on Luke’s ledger got him dismissed! Greg held serve and dropped Peter T’s team with a solid game to stay alive thanks to Kyren and Conner! Just like he drew it up on draft night?
The EL Toilet Bowl we had some rough games. Taylor’s LOC dream is over after a big defeat by Seth. And the injury bug fully consumed Matt’s team as he weathered multiple zeros (including one from the vaunted Dallas defense!). He got absolutely walloped by Jacob!

So many underperforming or injured stars this week means that some G-league teams are going to be very unhappy! And down to the final four, it’s slowing becoming a wild guessing game about who to start! Here are your scores:
Peter C and Caleb quickly separated themselves, making Sunday a little more relaxed for them. But Nick L and Allen were locked in mortal combat and both can blame Falcons coaches for their demise! Nick got only 3.4 points from Drake London and Allen got -0.1 from Bijan IN HIS FLEX SPOT WITH WADDLE (24.2) ON THE BENCH. Arthur Smith, this is on you!
In the end it was Allen who caught the blade with some gold on his bench. Brutal.

It’z Caleb! Caleb BARELY snuck into the LOC playoffs as the 6 seed, beating the top team in the final week to clinch! Now that he’s here, he’s got a real shot to run the table and keep his LOC place for next year! If his Chargers players get back on track (Ekeler, Allen, Palmer), he’ll be even tougher to deal with! But in the 2nd round of the playoffs he may be facing TWO opponents! Welcome to the HFFLUBTotW Curse Club!
Just a couple programming notes to close. The NFL is making it weird again at the most crucial point in the fantasy season. This week’s games are all over the place! Thursday night game, 2 Saturday games, a bunch on Sunday and THREE games on Christmas Day Monday including afternoon games!
Finally, the final 2 weeks fall directly on the holidays this year! So the weekly Blast will be slightly abbreviated to close the year as the league offices will be closed some days for family time!
